This project discusses the generative logic of the architecture, abstracting and transforming film logic into spatial logic. The semi-arch shape is chosen as the primary spatial element, and arch elements are deconstructed.
To achieve this goal, the project introduces a novel logic to form arch spaces, controlling the spatial direction with guiding lines, and establishes a construction foundation through segmentation and categorization.
TRANSLATE
The protagonist is a murderer, exhibiting typical transvestism, doing so to preserve the illusion of his mother's existence. This mysterious disguise logically corresponds to the ambiguity between indoor and outdoor spaces in spatial design.By correlating architectural elements with cinematic narrative techniques, the protagonist is matched with the arch components, the storyline is aligned with spatial flow, and the plot corresponds to continuous spaces.
Three different sections are being controlled and manipiulated strictly, form multiple continous yet changing spactial sequences. Just like in the film Norman's mother appears and disapper with unrcertainty, but will find implications of the ending when revisit the film. Scale changes of each prototype elements result in essential spatial difference, allow visitors to experience changing between railing and wall, apper and disapperof floor and roof. The space is both familiar and ambiguity,
Reconstructing the arch design language presented challenges to new spatial forms. Through parametric methods, this project optimized the dimensions and angles between surfaces and panels. A construction system was established from a local perspective.
